This is a 2.65-m tall statue of Amitabha crafted by Buddha sculptor Kaikei.
As the figure’s upper body is bare, it is also called the “Nude Amitabha.”
The minute details carved into the skirt pleats are characteristic of the sculpting style of Kaikei.
